11 Jul 2006I wrote about a bartering whiz named Kyle MacDonald a little while ago. On Tuesday, July 12 Kyle has achieved his goal in one short year, starting with one red paperclip and bartering his way into a 3-bedroom house in Kipling, Saskatchewan.
He has garnered an incredible amount of media attention on an international scale with next to no outbound PR activity. Just goes to show how an honest, original, compelling story is still natural news. Refreshing in this day and age when PR propoganda rules the news media roost.
Formerly titled "one man's pop culture commentary", I've decided to re-label this for a few reasons:
(1) It's now home for all my online 'stuff'
(2) the search engines like it better
(3) the posts will be less pop-culture focused
